Behind The Scenes

TLC roused us from our holiday-hangover daze and asked us to put this spot together in record time. We hit the ground running on the first day of 2010 and were ready to shoot the following week. We then had exactly five days to do all the animation and compositing. It definitely started the year off with a bang. Filming took place on an LA stage with George Duran, the host of Ultimate Cake Off. George was a great sport and kept smiling even after we strapped him into his cosmic, Barbarella cakesuit and suspended him from the roof. He was strung up for several hours and never once complained. What a trouper!

We chose an HDCAM SR workflow using the Sony F23 camera mounted on a Technocrane. The green screen was a rag from Composite Component. The end result was one of the cleanest keys we have ever seen. Check out the spot, the photos and videos of the production below. Enjoy.
