Wee Beastie hits Promax|BDA Gold for fourth year running! Our National Geographic/GEICO “mating” spot won World Gold for Best Consumer Tie-In and Silver for Funniest Promo! Thanks to Nat Geo for allowing us to produce these off-the-wall spots and we’re thrilled that GEICO loved them so much, they came back for more this year. Click on the pic to see the spot. And to add to the excitement, the follow-up campaign “Wouldn’t it be great to be a gecko?” was shown at the Best of Cable session at Promax. That set our hearts a-flutter. We are delighted to announce that Travis Blain has joined us as full-time Art Director. Travis came to New York from Charlotte-based design shop Snap5. After building an impressive freelance portfolio with top design boutiques, the planets aligned, the stars shone and Travis collided with Wee Beastie. Manifesto

In a landscape littered with broadcast design boutiques, why does it make sense to open a new agency? Because networks are getting a raw deal. You need a company focused on you and your brand, and nothing else. At Wee Beastie, concept is king. Before the design comes the idea. The better the initial idea, the stronger, more compelling and more breakthrough the execution will be. Too often, great design is let down by a weak initial concept. We are here to end that tragedy. Our mission is to provide the most compelling, high quality advertising by focusing on initial creative development. On receiving a brief we gather a diverse group of writers to create a range of scripts. This provides our clients with a variety to choose from. Our intention is to break through the advertising clutter and help our clients achieve their marketing goals. We have formed a network of collaborators that includes writers, designers and editors; all working at the cutting edge of broadcast production. Our editors come from the spot commercial world, our designers work with the leading broadcast networks, and our in-house directing skills allow us to deliver top-quality creative. As a hybrid advertising agency and production company we provide a service that goes all the way from brief to delivery.

Wee Beasties are those sticky concepts that get lodged inside your head. The catchy song that you keep humming, the stunning visual you can't forget, those great ideas that keep you from falling asleep. These clever concepts are our specialty, because Wee Beasties are what we're all about.
